Arcade news has mostly slowed to a crawl post-Pokémon pinball reveal, with numerous stories developing in the background but still being kept quiet until closer to Amusement Expo next month (and a upcoming special anniversary post for a certain North American developer needing some final approvals…); however, that doesn’t mean there’s nothing out there to talk about. Today we have two recent game releases to acknowledge, as well as some news and a press release from site advertisers TouchMagix.
Manufacturer: M5Stack Price: $30 Link: https://shop.m5stack.com/products/m5stack-cardputer-adv-version-esp32-s3 I have adored the M5Stack Cardputer since its first incarnation (see “Board Hoard,” Make: Volume 91), through v1.1 (“Word Is Board,” Make: Volume 95), and was completely overjoyed when I was handed the latest Adv model at Maker Faire Shenzhen in November. The Adv retains the credit-card-sized form factor of the original, though it trades the light-grey colorway for a brilliant white front and dark grey back. The latter is adorned with...
Arduino Team — February 19th, 2026 We all end up with a bin full of a random assortment of resistors, right? You grab some resistors from their tidy little packages during a project and then once you’re done with that project, the unused loose resistors go into the bin for future you to sort through. But you never actually sort them, do you? That’s why Zach Hipps turned an Arduino UNO Q into a resistor...
Manufacturer: eufyMake Price: $2,499 Link: eufymake.com/products/eufymake-e1 Every so often, something comes along that revolutionizes an entire tech sector, or opens it up to a new group. The Commodore 64 and IBM PC clones brought home computing to the masses. RepRap and MakerBot introduced personal 3D printing to a hungry maker audience. I’d argue that Nestworks (see sidebar TK) are doing similar for CNC. And with a record-setting Kickstarter campaign at $46,762,258, Anker’s eufyMake brand is transforming the...
Arduino Team — February 16th, 2026 So many of us struggle to wake up in the morning and end up sleeping through our alarms. You may even be the kind of person who will continue sleeping, even as your alarm clock is blaring right next to you for 10 minutes. If so, you’ll want to check out this megaphone-powered LEGO alarm clock built by Milos Rasic. The starting point for this project was LEGO’s new...
Welcome to Newsbytes, a series of posts here on Arcade Heroes that rounds up byte-sized pieces of news from around the worlds of arcades and pinball. We don’t have a ton of stuff on pinball since most of that was soaked up by Pokémon, but there are several fun things going on in the wider arcade scene. Let’s check them out:

The internet went all ablaze last week when Stern Pinball finally teased that their next major release would be the long rumored Pokémon, based upon the ultra-famous franchise of the same name. This did confuse a lot of fans who know nothing about pinball, which I sort of addressed here, but today, the company fully rolled out the details. Let’s discuss.
