More Details On Gameloft & Adrenaline’s Disney Speedstorm Arcade
We have a few new details on the upcoming Disney Speedstorm Arcade from Gameloft and Adrenaline Amusements, which was first unveiled at Amusement Expo 2026. This game is said to be hitting production soon, with shipments likely going out in May, so let’s see what else is in store for this kart racer.
Disney Speedstorm Arcade – Cabinet & More
Disney IP has graced our industry at various times in the past, from TRON to Cars to Disney Crossy Road and more. Now, this conversion of the popular Gameloft racer doing the same stands a good chance at grabbing attention in a market that tends to appeal to families, especially as a racing game.
When this concept was shown off at Amusement Expo 2026, it came in a prototype cabinet that was going to see some changes, from details on the paint job, to adding an infinity mirror on the back, to adding a coin door, and changing how the card reader/dispenser works. Adrenaline has released an updated render of the cabinet that more closely fits with what you may see in select game rooms this Summer:

From this, it is unclear where the cards will be dispensed/read, which is why I would still call this above a “pre-production” render. I did confirm with Adrenaline that the game does not require the cards to operate (as in, it will not prevent you from playing if the dispenser is empty), although they have not finalized the exact defaults on which characters will be available without scanning in any card. They are also aiming at offering the cards in boxes of 200, which will likely be available through the distributor that you purchase this game from. Players can insert additional credits to buy a card, or earn them by completing one of the three cups (each cup has three tracks, so there is a total of nine).

For other details, Adrenaline has also released a new brochure, which is currently integrated into the game’s webpage. This provides further information, such as it using a 75″ 4K screen, 5.1ch surround sound system, seat vibration feedback, and that it can link up to four units.

One other detail Adrenaline provided is that they also have more content in store for this down the road, although we will have to wait and see exactly what that is. It makes sense, given that with cards, you can release a new series and thus new characters or items in the game, which can also help give it an earnings boost. There is a list of all of the available characters in the home version of the game, and we can assume that at some point, both versions will be on par with each other from that angle. I do think it would be a nice touch though if the arcade version could see some unique characters, such as a few from TRON (Tron himself, Kevin Flynn, Yori, Clu), or add an esoteric character like VINCENT from Disney’s The Black Hole.
(Chances of all that are pretty low given that the game is focused on characters that kids actually know, but even if those specific characters never got put into the game, the point of having someone that the home versions doesn’t have still stands…)
What are your thoughts on Disney Speedstorm Arcade? Would you like to see it at an arcade near you?
